DIRECTIONS: You will select one of the gods or goddesses from the Greek Mythology List below. You will illustrate this god/goddess and relate them to a modern person who represents similar things.

For example, you might select Aphrodite. On an A4 piece of paper (or larger if you choose) you will use the left hand side of the paper to draw your impression of Aphrodite. In the right hand frame you will choose your modern equivalent of Aphrodite, e.g. maybe a modern female vocalist famous for love songs. Below the pair you will write a detailed explanation of the relationship between the two.

Olympian Gods: Zeus, Poseidon, Hades, Hestia, Hera, Aris, Athena, Apollo, Aphrodite, Hermes, Artemis, Hephaestus

Other Gods: Demeter, Persephone, Dionysus, Eros, Hebe, Eris, Helios, Thanatos, Pan, Nemesis, The Graces, The Muses, The Erinnyes, The Fates

Chick here for a handy god chart that Nina found.

You are about to embark on an exciting adventure into the world of social studies and technology! I have created this blog to teach you about current events and how to use technology within your social studies class. We will start by setting up a blog site for each of you, and then we will use those blogs to post about current events. We will be using these blogs for many different activities throughout the year and we hope you enjoy them as much as we do!
